The Paradox Culture

A great workplace combines
exceptional colleagues and inspiring challenges.

Our version of the great workplace is a team of people who are extraordinary at what they do
in pursuit of ambitious common goals that can shape the world.

It is on such a team that you learn the most, perform your best work,
improve the fastest, and have the most fun.

Our 7 Values

These values are much more than just words on a paper…
They are the values that unite our team and it is according to them that we recruit, promote or fire.

If reading this inspires you, it’s a good sign 😉.

1. Create Awe for people

We aim to surprise our customers by giving them an experience they’ve never seen before.
We aim to do what it takes to have an impact on their lives.

We talk about being customer centric, and it means to us:
Our products are designed by and for our customers
To make each contact with them an opportunity to surprise them and go beyond their expectations.
To constantly strive to do better so that they change even more their lives.
Awe : a feeling of great respect sometimes mixed with surprise and inspiration

Only a life lived in the service to others is worth living
Albert Einstein

Make the customer the hero of your story.
Ann Handley

2. Own it and get it done

We believe TOP PERFORMERS thrive on trust and freedom
and deserve it by getting things done

We want you to be inspired not micro managed, it means that you do what it takes to find the answers you
need and bring projects to completion. You are self-disciplined and self-motivated and don’t need to be told
what to do. You accomplish amazing amounts of important work by improving your focus and productivity.
At Paradox we prefer people who take risks and make things move forward than those who wait passively to have all the inputs from their managers.

Liberty means responsibility. That is why most men dread it.
GEORGE BERNARD SHAW

3. Seek the EXTRA-INCH

We believe that greatness is often just a few inches away,
And because we are relaxed about doing mistakes,
we’re constantly looking for the new bold move that can change the game.

We want to push the limit of what’s possible and produce what very few companies will have the courage to
do. We don’t do that only for our clients but also for ourselves because we are inspired to create
masterpieces. We encourage innovation and risk over mistake avoidance. What matters is to learn, and we
celebrate when we’re bold. But we don’t confuse the mistakes you do by being bold with those you do by lack of care. We learn from them, and create systems to replicate excellence.

There is no passion to be found playing small –
in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living
Nelson MANDELA

4. Think Deeper

Look for blindspots, challenge assumptions and see the global picture.
Keep in mind the vision, and make conscious choices toward
what can lead to the greatest impact.

You inform teammates and manager when you see something not congruent with our goals and values.
You are Actively looking beneath the surface of your ideas and our choices either by yourself or by socializing
your ideas. You don’t accept ideas because they seem great ideas, life long practices, or industry standards
but because you think it’s the best option. Thinking deeper is not about saying YES to more things to be nice
or make small progress but NO to a lot of things in order to focus on what has the most impact.

“I’m actually as proud of the things we haven’t done as the things I have done.
Innovation is saying ‘no’ to 1,000 things. You have to pick carefully.
STEVE JOBS

5. GROWTH over EGO

We love to learn and grow.
Se we give and receive honest feedbacks on a continual basis.
We are also deliberate on our progress.

We prefer the search for growth over the comfort of our ego because growth is in our DNA.
With us, you don’t need to please people even your manager or the Ceo, you give constructive
feedbacks and receive them thankfully with a true desire to learn and contribute to the vision.
If you don’t love to read, and be intentional on your growth every month we’re not for you.

One can have no smaller or greater mastery than mastery of oneself
LEONARDO DA VINCI

6. Fun and Friendly

We don’t take ourselves seriously and we love to have fun together.
At Paradox everyone is responsible to make our culture grow and more enjoyable.
We even think that a relaxed atmosphere is essential for performance

Yes, we believe that performance and ambition are perfectly compatible with being casual and
knowing how to fool around. We have a startup culture, not a cold one like big companies : it starts with
working in a relaxed atmosphere or wearing clothes in which you are comfortable…
You only say things about your teammate that you would say to their face, you solve issues and
do your best to be a great communicator.

We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.
George Bernard Shaw

7. Make MAGIC from chaos

We firmly believe that in every events or situations lies a seed
that can be transformed into an opportunity
And we have at heart to do so.

Whether they are personal, professional or even global in scale like COVID, difficulties are part of everyday
life. We can be emotional or anxious, everyone can be. But to grumble or to play the victim is accepted 1min,
not more. We love the challenge to make magic from what appears to be hard. We do our best to be
available for each other to listen, care and brainstorm in the face of challenges and then act accordingly.

People are not disturbed by things, but by the view they take of them
