We are looking for a Top Gun : Lead Developer who want to grow as an Engineering Manager and why not CTO in the futur

Your main mission will be to be the bridge between all departments and Tech, and lead the developers to create all the tools we need to scale

This is a full time job, remotely or from our amazing offices in Dubai, Lisbon or Geneva.

🎯 Your 3 short term projects

1.  Lead the development of the back-end (Node) of a cloud based CRM in order to give a clear vision of our customer journey & transactions to the marketing, customer success & Finance departments

It can be painful for a team to track a customer or find a specific transaction. We built a place to track all of these. And we want to upgrade it to the next level.

  • Unify siloed customer data & Implement 2 ways syncs to Import datas in a Database accurately from external REST APIs (all the transactional & Marketing Data )
  • Implement Algolia back-end
  • Build micro-services in Node.js with REST APIs.
  • Improve, Grow our own internal REST API to be used by other internal tools and micro services

2. Lead the Front-end developer VUE.JS to create a Fast, Reliable, User Friendly front-end 
  • Create complex SQL Queries to create a strategic dashboard
  • Clean VIEW of a TRANSACTION, ORDER, CLIENT, CREDIT NOTE, REFUNDS
  • Clean Filter Views of transactionS, OrderS, ClientS, Credit NoteS
  • Implement Dashboard, Reporting Analytics features like Youtube Analytics but for our transaction

Beyond CRM, we are automation addict

3. Lead to transform us in a SCALE MACHINE, and automate every departments 
  • Sync Data across Platform using REST APIs ( Accounting Software, Sales CRM,  Chat Tools, marketing Tools… or anything that could save time and give a smile to the team
  • Automate Accounting, Dunning, Marketing…

 Next big thing : we want to develop our own cloud based learning platform and a mobile app on React.

TECHNICAL STACK :

  • Front-end : VueJS, Javascript, ES6, HTML5/CSS3, Webflow
  • Back-end : Node.JS, PHP/Laravel, API REST… and open to grow according to your choices
  • DevOps/Tools : GitHub, Docker
  • Debian/Linux distribution

In terms of responsibilities

1. Hands on coding (40%)
  • Hands on coding the back-end and front-end
2. Lead the technical team on a daily basis ( 3 developers, 1 UX Design and more coming ) and create a cadence of execution (20%)

Yes you make sure, we produce code so great that it would make people cry ( of inspiration of course )

  • Ensure the weekly follow-up of progress and KPIs (variances versus costing, deliverables, …)
  • Implement method agile : Scrum, daily huddles and roadmap construction;
  • ensure optimal efficiency
  • Code Reviews and Feedback

3. Choose the strategic Architecture and Tech Stacks and be the #1 responsible for us to scale properly and with the minimum technical debt (20%)
  • Be the bridge between the technical and the functional : Transform the different needs of stakeholders into technical solutions, and orchestrate them
  • Responsible for the scalability of the backend & the infra with optimal performance
  • Ensure the production of technical documentation

3. Make sure all the systems work properly (10%)
  • Create an efficient Task History ( Like Zapier History ) to monitor Micro Services, Pause, Replay tasks in collaboration 
  • Monitor running process and CRON Task, handle and maintain the back-end tools: monitoring, log management …
  • Improve speed of services
  • Testing

4. Lead the Tech Hiring process : from roadmap to closing (10% )

    2. Ideas that are worthwhile but shared in a boring way
    and which unfortunately don’t catch attention.

    3. Change is hard. And knowledge only works for too few people

    We found our answer in the Greek Mythology, with the Ulysses Pact.

    Ulysses of his (Greek name Ὀδυσσεύς, Odysseus) wanted to hear the Sirens’ song, but all of those who tried died doing so. So he decided to put wax in his men’s ears so that they could not hear and had them tie him to the mast so that he could not jump into the sea. For the first time ever, someone was able to listen to the sirens while surviving. Ulysses didn’t succeed because of willpower, but because of an ingenious system that gave him no choice but to succeed. And this is what had been called the Ulysses' Pact.

    Technically:

    • Hands-On Coding – You code fast, and bug free!
    • 3 to 4 years with Node.js/Express.js but also front ( Vue, React )
    • 1-2 years with PHP/Laravel : need to maintain old micro services and smoothly migrate them to Node.JS
    • Technical Excellence and Innovation
    • Strong understanding of different API standards (SOAP, REST, etc) and data interchange formats (JSON, XML, etc).
    • 2+ years of experience working with SQL databases.

    Nice to have:

    • Experience with Redis would be a plus.
    • Knowledge of tools such as Jenkins.
    • Knowledge of Docker, software containerization and microservices architectures would be a plus.
    • Experience with a site search tool (like Algolia).
